Question 1

Which neck weight do I need: Lobster, Squid or XS?

Accepted Answer

Lobster is made for pool disciplines (DYN, DNF, STA) and adjusts in 100 g steps. Squid is made for depth disciplines such as CWT, FIM and CNF: it is open at the front, so it does not get in the way of equalisation. Lobster XS is a simple fixed-weight Lobster for freedivers who are starting out in the pool.

Question 2

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Every Lobster is handmade. Orders are usually ready to ship 21 to 30 days after purchase, and delivery then takes 7 to 14 days with EMS, TNT, UPS or Skynet. You receive a tracking number by email when the order is sent.

Question 3

Are import taxes included in the price?

Accepted Answer

No. Lobster ships from Moldova, which is not part of the European Union, so in most countries import VAT or duties apply above a certain order value, often around 200 euros. The rules differ from country to country, so check your local import rules before ordering.

Question 4

What warranty do you give?

Accepted Answer

All Lobster freediving weights have a 1-year warranty from delivery. After the warranty ends, you can renew your old Lobster with a personal 25% discount on a new one.

Question 5

Can I return my order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within 30 days of purchase. Return shipping is paid by the customer, and some items, such as rubber plugs and carry bags, cannot be returned.

Question 6

Who makes Lobster?

Accepted Answer

Lobster is a freediving brand from Chisinau, Moldova (LOBSTER WEIGHT SRL). The neck weight was invented by freediver Dmitrii Voloshin, debuted at the 2016 AIDA World Championship and won a Red Dot Design Award in 2020.

Question 7

Where can I try Lobster before buying?

Accepted Answer

Lobster and Squid are sold by freediving shops, clubs and schools in more than 30 countries. You can find them on the dealer map on the Find a Dealer page.
