Let's start with the technical part:
Silicone grease is commonly used for lubricating and preserving many types of rubber parts, such as O-rings, without swelling or softening the rubber, but is contraindicated for silicone rubber due to these factors. It functions well as a corrosion inhibitor and lubricant on non-metal-metal contact areas.
So, how does the silicone grease apply to Lobster Weight?
First of all, in order to make sure that the Lobster Weight segments and the neck base can connect easily, we recommend applying a couple of drops on the rubber parts of the weights and the base before assembling them for the first time.
Second of all, we recommend using the Lobster silicone grease on your neck weight once in 4-5 training sessions, this way your Lobster neck Weight will last longer and will look fresh at all times.
Lobster silicone grease has waterproofing properties that can help prevent rust and other forms of damage to your Lobster Weight. By displacing moisture that can otherwise cause corrosion, silicone lubricants are perfect for waterproofing.
Take care of your freediving buddy, use the Lobster silicone grease, and don't forget to dive like no other.
